What is the time frame from order of dumbwaiter to recieve at job site?
Once we finalize all the details of your order we need 2 to 3 weeks to build the dumbwaiter to your specifications then approximately 3 to 4 business days for delivery to your doorstep (within the Unites States) and 2 to 3 weeks to Hawaii, weather permitting.
How will my dumbwaiter be shipped?
After our dumbwaiters are packed and crated for shipping they are transported to Sacramento,Ca. where they are taken to the nations leading truckload carrirer, USF Bestway. USF Bestway's various tranportation methods ( by ground, air or ocean ) allow us to offer the most cost effective and efficient shipping to meet our clients specific needs.
What is your warranty on broken or damaged parts due to shipping or useage?
There is a 5 year warranty on our motor and parts under normal usage. If any damage occurs while our product is in route due to weather or mishandling it is the responsibility of the freight company.
What if I need to Cancel an order?
Once the customer pays for the dumbwaiter there is no cancelling the order because it is specially built for them.
What are the specs on the electrical hook up needed for rough in before fireboard & fire tape?
A single 110 volt circuit downstairs.
What is the wattage or amperage for the motor?
The motor is a 3/4 horsepower engine, which has a 20 amp dedicated circuit. The FLA ( full load amp) is 11.6 . This is the max amount that the motor will draw.
How do I access the motor if I need to?
Through an access door at the bottom of the shaft. The ideal size is 20 x 20 but could be a little smaller.
What are the wiring specifications for the dumbwaiter?
Our machines come pre-wired w /buttons. The only requirement is to install a 2 x 4 electrical box were you want your call button. All low voltage.
What type of door is required for the dumbwaiter inside the garage?
The door to the dumbwaiter car inside the garage must be a self closing solid-wood door 1-3/8" (35 mm) thick or equivalent.
What are door interelocks for and why are they required?
The door interlocks work by allowing the dumbwaiter door to never be accessed in route, it can only open when the car has reached it's destination. They are mainly requested for the safety of our children.
Where are the door interlocks placed?
The door interlocks are placed in the door jam. That is the customers responsibility to install themselves.
When I received my Frame Only Dumbwaiter there were no pre drilled holes in the frame . Why?
The frame does not come pre-drilled. For the purpose of, If Contractor or Installer has to drill holes to accomodate to your specific structural layout.
I live on the beach and I'm very concerned about corrosion and rust?
Our product is powder coated for that very purpose. Both the track & rail assembly as well as the dumbwaiter car are powder coated. General maintanence on the chain & motor would be recommended if you live in a coastal area.
